They're in! They're IN!

Oh, I love a nice big shipment of fabrics!

I am going to post some of the combinations here - they look *so* much better in natural light than in the thumbails that the manufacturer's site posts.

Come check them out at my Etsy shop: www.acmebabyco.etsy.com!

Speaking of Fabrics...

Jennifer Paganelli has some new stuff coming out. I am especially fond of this new print here. I really adore the color combinations - a vibrant modern twist to a good ol' classic look.

Let me think... kitchen curtain? skirts? pillows and bedspreads? or maybe just draping myself completely in its rich prettiness. Yeah... I think so.

We have to wait till mid March, but it is never too soon to daydream and plan, is it?

Get the good news here.

Acme Baby Co. fabrics

Or should I title this, "Alias'"?

Not only do I love yarn and knitting, but I also have a real addiction to lovely high-quality designer fabrics. So, as I have changed gears (some of you know that I just sold 'Babyfairies') I have invested in some lovely fabrics that I am now selling at Etsy under the name Acme Baby Co. Save for one, they should all be here within a week or two and I am rather excited to see them in person!

What a great way to welcome in Spring. I know, a long ways off, I know, but watching the frost sparkling all over the roofs here in the early NW mornings, one can not help but think of the light at the end of the tunnel. So, I know I am going to want to send the kiddles off to school, hunker down in my little California Bungalow, and think of all the myriad of things I can create with these vibrant little prints.

I have tried to create a more balanced palette this time with some great modern prints, but of course I still have some great vintage-looking prints which I can never steer away from completely. In person, the colors never disappoint: very rich and deep and vibrant. This time I have selected mostly from Amy Butler, Martha Negley, Joel Dewberry, Sis Boom (Jennifer Paganelli, who I hear is coming out with a new line soon!), Heathery Baily, and Denyse Schmidt; all fabulous and seasoned designers.

Come take a peek!

New Projects

In preparation for our trip down to San Diego for a few days, I thought I might need a new knitting project. Mind you, with a 16-year-old and a 4-year-old, I can't imagine I will get much knitting done on the plane or otherwise, but I was optimistic and thought I needed to spend another $18 on some green sock yarn (who doesn't need some of this and a $30 hank of black silk. I had to show some of this beautiful green sock yarn. I am starting a pair, this time with a totally ribbed top. I am working my confidence up to do some lacy ones. I think I just need to get so used to socks that most of it is second nature, and I have a little focus left to concentrate on the lace pattern; not that it is all that hard.

Update: One sock done.
